PILING

Bored Cast-In-Situ Piles

At TL, we specialize in bored cast-in-situ pile services for foundation projects. Using modern rotary drilling equipment, we offer comprehensive solutions including pile drilling, steel cage production and installation, and concrete pouring. Our rotary boring techniques allow for larger diameter piles, ideal for dense or hard strata.
We adapt our methods to the site’s geological conditions, employing ‘dry’ or ‘wet’ boring as required. We provide temporary or permanent casing, and sometimes use drilling fluids like bentonite suspension to maintain a stable shaft.
Our rotary auger piles range from 600mm to 2400mm in diameter, with lengths beyond 50 meters. By leveraging advanced techniques and equipment, TL Foundation Specialist delivers high-quality, reliable piling solutions tailored to each project’s unique demands.

Micro Piling

Micro piles are specialized deep foundation elements made with high-strength, small diameter steel casing and/or threaded bars, offering versatility and relatively high capacities. At TL, we use advanced equipment like the CASSA GRANDE C8, featuring high and reliable torque rotary drives. Our micro piles typically range from 10 to 30 cm in diameter, but can be up to 45 cm.

SHORING

Shoring is an essential, primarily temporary system that safeguards adjacent structures from collapsing during deep excavations for basements, tunnels, trenches, slope cuts, and more. TL Foundation Specialist excels in designing and implementing various shoring techniques suited to specific project requirements.

  • Anchored- ShotCreted Bored Cast In Situ Piles:
This system combines anchored piles with a shotcrete membrane to provide robust support and prevent soil movement.

  • Cantilever Pile:
Utilizing cantilever piles, this method offers stability and support without the need for additional anchors or bracing.

  • Secant Pile Wall:
This technique involves overlapping piles to create a continuous wall, providing excellent strength and water tightness for deep excavations.

  • Adjacent Pile Wall:
This method places piles adjacent to each other to form a solid wall, ideal for maintaining stability in various soil conditions.

  • Soil Nailing Slope Stabilization:
This system involves inserting steel bars (nails) into the slope or excavation face, which are then grouted to create a stable and reinforced structure.

Tl’s expertise in shoring systems guarantees the safety and stability of your construction projects. We protect adjacent structures and maintain the integrity of the excavation site, ensuring a secure and reliable foundation for your Project.

TESTING

Pile Static Load Test

Static load tests are performed to verify design assumptions and assess the load-carrying capacity of piles. During these tests, telltale rods in stalled at various depths within the piles evaluate the load transfer behavior of the piles relative to the surrounding soil and bearing stratum.
The bearing capacity of a pile depends on its size, shape, type, and the properties of the soil in which it is embedded. The ultimate bearing capacity is the load at which the soil’s resistance is fully mobilized. Exceeding this load can cause the pile head to settle by 10% of the pile diameter.
General pile load tests on preliminary (non-work ing) and working piles are conducted according to the specifications’ requirements. The test load on preliminary and working piles is defined in these specifications. The test assembly typically includes the following components:

  • Hydraulic Jack

  • Pressure Gauge and Load cell

  • Settlement Measuring Gauge

  • Reference Datum

  • Counter weight Kentledge, Ground Anchors or Reaction Piles

TESTING

Integrity Testing

TL utilizes the Pile Integrity Tester(PIT) to assess bored piles. This testing detects potentially dangerous defects such as major cracks, necking ,soil inclusions,or voids, ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of the piles.
By combining our expertise in design, testing, and construction, TL provides comprehensive solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and safety for all foundation and shoring projects.
